Innovation is in practice often a complex process, whether that be in a corporate context, small- or medium enterprise, public body or an arms length organisation. Most of the innovation work I engage with is integral to the client organisation and key to my work is tailoring the change process to allow multi-stakeholder bluesky thinking whilst working towards tangible actionable outcomes. For example:

Neighbourhood education
Rethinking education in Bavaria: A co-creative process facilitating teachers, pupils and leadership to work together on turning the schools inside out and find learning environments in every local neighbourhood.


Client: City of Munich
Output: Strategy and roadmap, booklet, rich media content.

Human Cities
I have the pleasure of acting as co-creation expert for the EU Creative Europe Programme Human Cities – Challenging the City Scale. Spanning over four years till 2018, Human Cities combines design initiatives and academia in eleven countries throughout Europe.

Small Works
Small Works creates a dual-outcome strategies for vacant shops, marrying large-scale landlords with enterprise incubators and community activities. The Small Works model won acclaim in the final of the European Investment Bank Institute‘s „Social Innovation Tournament“ 2014.

Output: Three running centres in London with daily programming, hosting 50+ small entrepreneurs, facilitating opportunities for local residents and enhancing long-term social capital of neighbourhoods

Dynamic Dialogues
Dynamic Dialogues is an innovative public participation process, identifying the cultural drivers for change. This multi-year project was staged in Helsingborg, Sweden and has been awarded „Best Practice“ by the Swedish Performing Arts Guild and the Swedish Biennale for Culture and Youth in 2012.


Client: Helsingborg City Theatre.
Work done on behalf of Clear Village.
Output: Three co-creation labs, feedback analysis, strategy report and implementation support
Partners: Helsingborg City, Clear Village, Nordic Council of Culture, H+, handed over to Helsingborg 2035 in 2013.
